University of California - Memorial Stadium

This panorama, taken by Christopher Gjevre, brings to focus the on-field action of the University of California Golden Bears football team playing their first regular season game in the $321 million newly renovated California Memorial Stadium, also known as Memorial Stadium. Since its opening in 1923, Memorial Stadium has treated fans of all ages to many of the greatest games in the history of Cal football. Today, the Stadium is retrofitted for the 21st century, with fan safety in mind, while maintaining the architecture and character of the historic structure. State-of-the-art video and ribbon boards complete the modernization of the Stadium by greeting fans as they arrive and greatly enhancing their in-game experience.
